AOUSD at GDC

The Game Developers Conference (GDC) will take place Mar. 18–22 in San Francisco, California. It’s a week-long celebration of the art, craft, and business of game development and represents a unique opportunity for developers to get up to speed on advances in the field.

Meta Developer Summit: Build Next Generation XR Experiences with Meta Quest and Presence Platform | Meta | Interested in developing your next title in VR or MR for Meta Quest? Join speakers from Meta as they take you from project setup to an XR app in less than one hour. The session will take place on Tuesday, Mar. 19, at 9:30 a.m. PT.

Meta Developer Summit: Haptics + Interactions: Building More Immersive Apps with Meta’s Presence Platform | Meta | Developing for XR interactions and haptics is now easier with the improved Interaction SDK and the new Meta Haptics Studio. Learn about the latest advancements in Unreal’s tools, hear news from partners, and find out how you can take even more advantage of Epic’s ecosystem.  The session will take place on Wednesday, Mar. 20, at 9:30 a.m. PT.

Modernizing Games with NVIDIA RTX Remix and Generative AI | NVIDIA | Discover how NVIDIA created a next-level modding platform for creators with RTX Remix. It is a first of its kind modding tool that allows modders to capture game scenes into OpenUSD format, making them easy to manipulate. Check out the presentation on Wednesday, Mar. 20, at 10:30 a.m. PT.

Pushing Next-Gen Real-Time Technology | Epic Games | This talk will cover how the latest in Unreal Engine’s real-time technology enables AAA creators to bring photorealism to their graphics simulation and animation. It will occur on Wednesday, Mar. 20, at 12:30 p.m. PT.

The Universal Scene Description (USD) Roundtable | In this session, attendees can gather to talk about Universal Scene Description. Come meet, discuss, and find out what everyone has been doing with USD. The roundtable will occur on Friday, Mar. 22, at 1:30 p.m. PT.
